Demonstration against gentrification is held in the South End.

Some 250 people demonstrate outside the South End Historical Society’s annual Victorian Champagne Ball at the Cyclorama Building to protest the increasing gentrification of the neighborhood. Some of the demonstrators carry signs that read, “Stop the Victorian Criminals” and “South End Historical Society Is an Upper-Class KKK.”
